Our Story

Hold Love. Heal Within. Give Back.

I'm Aria, the founder of MYKUU.

A lot of people think that they start a brand because of a love or a dream, but for me, the initial seed of MYKUU came from a three-year-long abyss.

It was a time shattered by a cliffhanger breakup. The long pull, repeated self-doubt and wanting to get it back left me in tears on countless sleepless late nights, almost forgetting who I was and not knowing how to move on with my life.

At that time, I struggled in pain almost every day, with only a little bit of faint hope left. But it was also during those most difficult nights that I began to comfort myself in the simplest of ways:
light a piece of incense to slow down my breathing; wear a string of crystals to tie a little bit of desire and strength around my wrist; and close my eyes and meditate before going to bed, telling myself: you are worthy of being loved, and even more so, you are worthy of loving yourself.

At first, these were just little habits that kept me from completely falling apart. Slowly, I realized that these tiny rituals really do make a difference. They taught me to turn my head and embrace my vulnerable and authentic self first; they made me realize that life wants to be good, and more importantly, you have to allow it to be good yourself.

MYKUU was born out of this awakening.

At MYKUU, every handmade crystal string and every piece of incense is a gentle blessing:

May you find peace in the midst of chaos,
May you remember your courage,
May love, which has never really left you, be hidden somewhere in your heart.

Rituals are not complicated forms, but the power to see yourself again.

Today, I take this true experience of walking through the abyss, along with all the products, and send it to you, who are also immersed in confusion or pain at this moment:

I hope you too can believe: life will get better,
and more importantly, you have to give yourself permission to get better.

If you are also experiencing confusion, pain or loneliness at this moment,
may MYKUU be the weak but firm light in your heart,
to accompany you through the night and learn to love yourself again.
